Eco-Friendly PC Cases

Iameco Sarah

Iameco has recently offered a series of so-called "eco-friendly" PC cases. For a moment, one may think that it really is giving the environment a hand by making these PC cases without containing toxins traditionally used with conventional computer manufacture. The Iameco Sarah PC for example has a case, mouse and keyboard made out of beautifully stylized wooden cases.

But the eco-friendly tag may not be as truthful as in the the case of the Iameco Sarah PC. Yes, the fact that it contains no toxins usually associated with conventional computer manufacture may hold true to its eco-friendly tag. The problem lies on the make-up of the PC case in question.

The Iameco Sarah is actually fashioned out of Ebony. Many may have not known this, but ebony trees have been considered as one of the most endangered tree species, with some already becoming extinct through over exploitation. In this case, the Iameco Sarah may not hold truth to its eco-friendly tag. Although it may just be a thin veneer of the said endangered hardwood, the Iameco Sarah may just as well take off the eco-friendly tag so as not to confuse people who really care about the trees and stuff.
