While Android devices have become quite popular, they also are considered as a fragmented bunch. Although they use the same OS, they usually have compatibility issues from one maker to another. An accessory device for one Android phone won't necessarily work with another. But Philips may have built the very first Universal Speaker Dock for Android in the Fidelio AS851.

The Philips Fidelio AS851 Universal Dock Speaker is designed to work with any Android device, regardless of maker. This docking speaker features a micro USB port that can be reconfigures to fit any Android phone brand. But it is only mainly used to charge up the phone and not for connecting to the speaker.

The Philips Fidelio AS851 Dock Speaker can be used by streaming audio files from the phone via Bluetooth with the help of the Philips Fidelio App. The speakers provide 30 watts worth of audio power and also come with a 5 band equalizer and a remote control. But what makes it appealing is that it is the first dock speaker for Android phones that works universally. It is initially available in the UK and the European market and costs around 199 UK Pounds or around US$317.
