Teenage Girls and Sexual Predators

It's tough enough on any parent to see your little girl grow up into a teenager and become old enough to date. It's a billion times worse if you find out that your daughter is dating an older man. Not old enough to be you, her dad. Just way to old for your daughter who's a minor. And he's in his late 20s.

Why it's so wrong

Now, as a parent it's your job to protect your child from any from of danger - nay, it's an automatic instinct. The case of a grown up man dating your teenage daughter is highly suspect. For one, there are no reports of a shortage on females within the 20-30 age bracket.

For another, grown up men have emotional and physical needs that need to be fulfilled. And your teenage daughter is in nowhere near old enough nor mature enough to fulfill those needs. Which leaves him with - no possible decent reasons why a man his age would want to date your teenage daughter.

What you should do

Men of this profile usually turn out to be sexual predators. They prey on younger women, make them believe that they love these girls and them fool them into having sex. Sexual predators are arrested for child molestation. This is why you must act fast.

First, forbid your daughter from ever seeing that man or contacting him, under any circumstances. Explain to her that the man may be a sexual predator. And as her parent, it's your responsibility to protect her.

Next, tell the man that he is to stop seeing or contacting your daughter.

Finally, call the police explain the situation. Do not wait until your daughter or the man tries contacting each other again. Having the police on alert should keep him away for good.

An adult who is dating minor may be convicted as a sexual offender, and if your daughter and that man are seeing each other without your consent, she could be considered a runaway and he could be charged with kidnapping in some states.
