Creating a New Thanksgiving Tradition

Thanksgiving is one of the traditions that cannot be ignored by anyone as it has been a part of our culture. But instead of doing the same things every Thanksgiving Day, do something that you have not done before. Here is an idea on how to do just that.

Before Thanksgiving Day, recall someone whom you have been so grateful in the past. It may be a former teacher of yours, or someone else entirely and has made a difference in your life.

Find the phone number that person.

On Thanksgiving Day, call them. Then tell them that it has been a family tradition to call someone whom you have been extremely grateful, and that's why you called that person.

You can ask that person's family members before Thanksgiving if you think that person will not be around for Thanksgiving. Know where you can reach that person on that day.

You will then feel good at what you have just done and how it will make that person feel good as well.

On doing all these, try to be brief with your message. You may be mistaken for a sales man or someone who's interrupting their holiday. You have to prepare yourself with the prospect that they may not remember you at all as you remember that person.
