Homemade Hair Treatments

Why bother going to the beauty salon or buy expensive hair products when you can treat your hair right in the comfort of your home? All you need are some things you find in the kitchen, mix them together, and put them on your hair. They are 100% safe and natural. Here are some solutions that you can do.

Strawberry hair mask – Make your hair shiny and full of life. Just mash eight strawberries with one tablespoon mayonnaise. Massage the mask on washed, damp hair. Cover head with shower cap, then with a warm towel, and leave for several minutes. Wash it out with a shampoo-conditioner combination. The acids found in berries will leave your hair both conditioned and glossy.

Avocado hair mask – Another hair shine solution at your kitchen counter. Mash an avocado with a tablespoon of olive oil and a teaspoon of baking powder. Mix this until well-combined and massage the solution on your hair. Let it sit for 15 minutes before washing it with shampoo and conditioner.

Dry hair repair – Replace your hair’s lost essential fatty acids by massaging your hair (from the ends to the scalp) with one or two drops of safflower oil. Leave the oil on your hair.

Quick oily hair remedy – Apply talcum powder on the roots of towel-dried hair. Let it sit for a few minutes before washing it out.

Cure for dandruff – Pour vinegar on hair, massage the scalp, and leave it to dry for a few minutes. Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner. Do this ritual once a day until dandruff has disappeared.

Homemade hair spray – Chop one lemon (or an orange for dry hair). Place it in a pot with 2 cups water. Boil until half of the water evaporates. Let it cool, then strain, and place it in a spray bottle. Store it in the refrigerator.

If the solution is too sticky, add more water. You can also add one ounce of rubbing alcohol to preserve the solution and then the spray can be stored for up to two weeks without refrigeration.
