Planning The Perfect Halloween Party
It's Halloween once again and for all the ghouls out there who are having a hard time planning the perfect party here are a few tips for you.
Nothing spooks more than a well decorated party. Black and orange crepe are cheap to buy and it will add the right touch of Halloween festiveness. You can also buy other decorations like skulls or ghosts at any mall.
If you're saving money, or you're otherwise cheap, it's easy to make your own decorations with paper mach, a little glue and lots of patience. Hang creepy signs around the house.
Want a traditional pumpkin but don't know where to find one? No problem, just buy those inflatable plastic ones.
No party is complete without the music. Prerecord creepy sounds or just download horror movie soundtracks. Try to have the proper lighting during the party. Turn down the lights and use candles. Just try not to burn the house down.
Costumes are ridiculously expensive to buy. But with a little imagination you can create your own with materials you can find at home. Use old clothes, food coloring, or spray paint.
Shop in a hardware store for other accessories or scrounge around in your closet.
There are numerous ideas floating around in the Web for handmade costumes. Take your pick but try to be true to your inner monster.
Tired of the usual bobbing for apples or trick or treating? There are other spookier ways to entertain your guests. Organize a haunted house tour, or if there isn't one near just opt for an abandoned warehouse.
Even better spend the night in a cemetery and tell ghost stories all night long.
For less hardy souls try a séance or play a marathon of scary movies.
A well organized murder mystery might seem geeky to hardcore party goers but they could be enormously fun to participate in.
Halloween doesn't have to be for the uber rich. Everybody can have fun time during this frightening holiday. And if anybody says it's terribly bourgeoisie to celebrate this holiday they can just say hello to Jason's axe.
