Natalie Portman: Celebrity Style

Few if any of the younger actresses can match the stylish sophistication that Natalie Portman brings to the red carpet. Well known for her role in the vastly popular Star Wars saga, Natalie has also cut her acting chops in such dramas as Garden State, Closer and Cold Mountain.

When it comes to the high profile events, Natalie proves that simple is equal to elegance. She chooses modest lengths and classics silhouettes; the strapless tea-length dress reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn is a favorite. Accessories are often limited to one showstopping piece of jewelry. Though she can often be seen in black, Natalie has never been color-shy–she once wore a rainbow-colored Isaac Mizrahi shirtdress to one particular soiree.

Natalie is a movie star in every sense of the word, yet she has avoided tabloid fodder of most young actresses because she has spent much of her time studying at Harvard. Because of her down-to-earth lifestyle, Natalie favors distressed jeans, Converse sneakers, and no-frills Ts.

Some of her favorite designers are Zac Posen (refers to her as his “muse”,) Chloe, Isaac Mizrahi, Marc Jacobs

From Princess Lea buns to a buzz cut, Natalie can–and has– pulled off an entire list of trendy hairdos with grace. When she’s not prepping for a role, however, she typically wears her hair long and loosely curled. Like her simple style, Natalie sticks to the bare minimum when it comes to makeup. Rosy cheeks and subtle smoky eyes combined with nude or red lipstick make for a understatedly glamorous vibe.

If you want to look like the love of Darth Vader then you can opt for perfectly cut staples like sharp button downs or snug cardigans paired with trusty blue jeans. Colorful flats and a sweet pendant necklace polish off the look. For night, a old Hollywood circle skirt and stilettos never fails.
