Meditate

Regular meditation can lower your stress levels with lasting effects. For many on the go moms there is simply no time for meditation. But a simple 3 to 5 minutes of an easy to follow meditation routine will do you a world of good.

Just sit in a comfortable chair and clear your mind of any of the numerous things you feel you still have to do. Take in a low, deep breath that expands your rib cage. Do this five times. Think of your entire body relaxing. You can now take this relaxed self to meet the day's activities.

Treat yourself to a Spa day

Getting some pampering for yourself instead of being the one doing all the pampering is a great treat for all the work you've done. A pedicure and a massage will go a long way to refresh and re energize you.

Go on date nights

When was the last time you spent a day with your spouse without talking about the kids or your job? Going on a regular date night every week will revitalize your marriage.

You'll be able to reconnect with your spouse and have a fun time away from the kids. Keep the conversation away from the kids and your house. Immerse yourself in each other and rediscover the spark in your marriage.

Keep a journal

Writing in your journal will help you release those unsaid emotions you've been keeping inside. Reading your journal will help you process your daily experiences.

There are no rules to writing in your journal. Write about your dreams, the things that frustrated you that day, even your little pet peeves. If you are more of an Internet person you should think of getting a blog to express yourself.

Exercise

Doing a regular workout is one the best stress busters out there. Physical activity will make your stress levels evaporate just like that. It improves blood flow to the brain, reduce blood pressure and decrease muscle tension.

Exercise also releases a flow of endorphins that makes you feel good about yourself. If you don't have time to go to the gym just do exercises that you can do at home or you can incorporate into your daily activities.

Walking is a great exercise that you can do with your family. When you're doing your chores try to add a workout regime slant to it. Use weights when you are cleaning.

Turn the radio dial

Remember way back when you had favorite musicians or a particular radio station? It's time to get in touch with your inner audiophile once more. Allow the music to melt away your tension. Fit the music with your mood.

Play relaxing, instrumental music when you are feeling stressed or a heady pop tune when you need to feel energized. Dancing to the music will keep you happy.

Grab some grub

Good food always puts us in a good mood. Food affects our mood. Low fat food will trigger brain chemicals that soothe us. Eating a well balanced diet is the key to taking the stress levels down. Eating is something that busy moms forget to do. You can't take care of your family if you are too famished to do anything. Eat good and live well.

Find some alone time

Take a break. Find a place in the house where you can be totally alone. Ask your spouse to take the kids out for lunch and rediscover the joys of solitude. Watch a movie or just sit back with a good book. Try not to think of anything.

Talk to your friends

Having a great support system in place will buoy you in the most trying times. Call your friends. Share your daily tribulations and every day moments. Cherish the connection with your circle of friends.

Take a bath

A long and luxurious bath is a top stress buster. Let the water wash away your anxieties and worries. Let your troubles just float away.
