The hard part of the day for every parent begins in the wee hours of the morning. If you have children going to school then you know the hassle of getting them out of bed and out of the door to the school bus in less than thirty minutes.

Suddenly your home is like a battle zone and everyone is rushing out of each other's way. If this is a familiar scene every day then you should read the following tips on getting your children out of the house unscathed and on time.

Set your alarm clock.

Most parents forget this and the results are not pretty. Your whole schedule will be thrown of course for the rest of the day, not to mention the general tension that everyone will go through.

Picking out the right ensemble for the day could take your children costly minutes before the bus arrives. To keep you from screaming for your child to hurry up everyday help him or her pick out an outfit the day before. Knowing what your child is wearing will shave off the time it takes for him or her to leave.

Pack the night before.

This will you keep you from running back when your child has forgotten a book or an important project. Place your children's book bags near the door so that they won't forget it.

Teach your children about the joys of planning their days.

You can give them a planner so they can write their assignments and due dates in. Knowing the due dates to an assignment will help your child avoid cramming their homework just before they leave for school.

Help your kids organize their closets for easy access.

Arrange the shirts and blouses in one corner and place all the skirts and pants together. Show them how to fold their clothes neatly so they can get easily see what they have.

Make sure that each child has a designated time to use the bathroom.
