Indoor Party Ideas for Teens

Having a birthday party right in your own home? Doing a party in your home can vary according to how much you want to spend and how unique you want it to be. Follow these suggestions to get you inspired.

The traditional birthday party - You know what this is: A buffet table is set-up on the dining room, with your birthday cake at the center. All the kids in the neighborhood are invited to come inside and partake with the party dishes. Afterwards, you and your guests can have several rounds of fun parlor games such as Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Musical Chairs. Having a birthday party can be expensive, so consider how much you want to spend.

A sleepover - Of course, there are other ways to celebrate birthdays. Try inviting your closest friends over at your home for an overnight sleepover. Share stories, watch DVDs, and even hire a pair of manicurists and spa therapists so you and your friends can have a relaxing evening. Cap the party with a hearty breakfast the next day.

A mini-rave party - Although you can have that big dance party in your home, you do not want total strangers crashing through your house and pretend as guests, right? It is better to have a dance party with your close friends and their friends for a more intimate setting. Do not forget to turn off the lights, give your guests glow sticks, and pop in your favorite dance CD.

Karaoke night - If your friends are into singing, and if so happens you have a karaoke machine, then you might want to invite them over for a night of fun. You could even put up some challenges by putting your guests on a dare to sing songs they have never heard of.

Video game night - Have your (or your friend's) gaming consoles set up and invite your friends for hours of fun playing video games. Make sure to play games that can be done in a short time like fighting games. You could also have some Dance Dance Revolution for added fun.
