Chicane Biography

Chicane is the pseudonym of Nick Bracegirdle, a British trance musician and remixer. Born in on the 28th of February 1971, Chicane made a name for the singles "Offshore," "Saltwater," "No Ordinary Morning," "Don't GIve Up" and "Autumn Tactics." Bracegirdle was trained in classical guitar and piano at an early age, with melodic composers such as Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre as his earliest influences in electronic music. He started creating melodic dance music by the age of 12, when he also started sending demos to record labels.

Chicane has also done a number of remixes for artists such as Everything but the Girl, Billie Ray Martin, Bryan Adams and Enigma.
