Getting banned in Google can be disastrous for most websites. Not ranking in the search engine widely used all over the world can greatly affect site traffic. That is why it is important not to risk any website, especially in trying to achieve higher search rankings, into getting banned at any time. It is always important to make sure that everything is in order when it comes to not going overboard when it comes to optimizing one's own site.

Being banned from Google index?

One of the main reasons is applying black hat practices in optimizing websites that is not accepted by Google's established guidelines. Being banned from the Google index is actually not the end. All may not be lost. There are still a means that you can have your website re-included in the Google index. But it can take some work to put a banned website back in Google.

Check "why" you site is banned

When you have finally discovered that you have been banned from Google, the first thing that you can do is to find out why. You will need to check your website for some things that you might have done on it that have angered them and considered banning your site. Check out for things like link farms linking to your site, doorway pages, or unintentional keyword stuffing.

Once you have seen your mistakes, you next need to contact Google for a reinclusion request. You can go to Google Sitemaps and from the Tools menu, select the Submit a Reinclusion Request button. Then on the form that will appear, you need to fill out the necessary information and then submit your request. After that, what you need to do is wait until Google considers your request, which may take some time. But there's nothing else that you can do.

Increase your chance of being forgiven by Google

You may be able to increase your chances of being forgiven by Google by simply admitting that you've made a mistake instead of denying and defending yourself that you did nothing wrong to warrant the ban.

Make sure that you fix al the mistakes that you found before you submit your reinclusion request. Be polite in handling the Google ban instead of hading out threats which just might work against you in the end. And most of all make sure that you reassure the people at Google that you will not be making the same mistake again and be true to your word this time.

And if you really need to get back into Google traffic, you might need to consider its paid listings such as those offered in Google Adwords. This might be the next best option for you in case you need to get some traffic on your site fast.
