Wildstorm Productions or just "Wildstorm" for short, is a publishing imprint of the world-famous comic book publisher DC Comics.

The publishing company originated way back in 1992 from comics creator Jim Lee's personal publishing company Aegis Entertainment. He partnered with Image Comics and was able to come up with Wildstorm as his very own label.

After the sale of the company to DC back in 1999, Lee still was at the helm of the company as he still was Wildstorm's Editorial Director. It is a position that he continues to hold while Scott Dunbier is his Executive Editor.

The Wildstorm imprint is an editorially separate entity from the its original parent company which is DC. The Wildstorm main studio is located on the West Coast.

Throughout the history of this indpendent publishing company by Jim Lee, the studio has been able to publish a variety of comic book titles that have exhibited continuity with the other Wildstorm titles.

Some of the unrelated titles are that of Kurt Busiek's Astro city and Alan Moore's America's Best Comics line. The major carrier titles of the company are that of WildC.A.T.s, Stormwatch which then evolved into "The Authority", Gen13 and Wetworks.

Because of the intricate storyline, several mature-readers were following the superhero imprint Eye of the Storm in 2006, Wildstorm eventually pulled off a move which eventually rebooted the Wildstorm Universe during its "WorldStorm" event. This so-called reboot gave the different fictional characters that were part of the crossover new status quos to build on.

The publishing company of Wildstorm has essentially come up with so many titles and crossovers during its lifetime. To this day, Wildstorm has been actively publishing different titles by adapting old-school titles such as Robotech, Speed Racer and Thundercats in their line of comic book titles. They have also had success in introducing graphical novels from different writers such as David Brin and Kevin J. Anderson.

Post-WorldStorm, the publishing company has been able to publish very few titles which have centered around its Wildstorm Universe comics. One of these comic book titles include "Majestic" which eventually grew out of the spotlight of the Superman titles.

During August of 2006, Wildstorm merged all of its output under a solitary label which was called "Wildstorm" in order to simplify the imprint for consumers and retailers. The current editorial staff working for Wildstorm is comprised of Scott Peterson, Scott Dunbier and Ben Abernathy.
