After Hours comics is a publisher of comics that was created by Buddy Scalera and Darren Sanchez. These are two people who have had a lot of experience in the comic book industry.

They have both worked for Wizard and have utilized their experience as well as knowledge that they have learned from their contact with the comic world to essentially pursue self-publishing of their very own comic books.

They were able to publish a fair amount of comic book titles. Some of them are Impossible Tales, Necrotic, 7 Days To Fame, Model Operandi and other comics. They have also been able to release a CD-ROM which was named "Visual Reference For Comic Artists". This has been one of their most popular contributions that the public has appreciated.

The founders and publisher of the comics started with the comic book, Necrotic which was originally written for another company. When that supposed company declined to publish the book, they immediately formed After Hours Press.

They came up with the name with the reason that they worked for Wizard and they allowed them to publish their own little comics project as long as the work took place "after hours".

The different titles that After Hours Press was able to publish includes a mummy story in "Necrotic", a couple of sci-fi stories in Celestial Alliance and Impossible Tales, a modern drama story in 7 Days to Fame, an action adventure story in Model Operandi and a humorous comic in Desperate Times.

The comic book company's best selling title wasn't even a comic book but a comic book resource. The company was able to create three different multimedia CD-ROMs which was aptly called "Visual Reference for Comic Artists" Vol. 1, 2 and 3.

These were immediate successes as each disc included around over 600 pictures of people, places as well as things which would be quite helpful for a working comic book artist. These CDs have continued to sell in different conventions, comic stores and from the company's official website.

The publisher wanted to have a comic book that was unique and it has been exactly that. Critics and fans have been able to zero in on several comic book titles such as 7 Days to Fame which is quite the drama story as it deals with suicides.

Their Impossible Tales title is also gaining quite an audience. They have been able to sustain themselves and have been able to keep the fire burning amidst their losses.
