Michael Turner was born on April 21, 1971. His current occupation is a comic book artist as well as a creator. Some of the comic book characters that he was able to create were Fathom, Soulfire, Ekos. One of his most popular creations was that of Witchblade which was the work that was attributed to him.

One of his fortes was that of his great skill in illustrating highly detailed art in comic books. He is especially known to create beautiful female characters. He was discovered by Marc Silvestri of Top Cow at one comic book convention and he was able to begin his career as an artist in that comic book company.

After a while, Michael Turner eventually helped to create Witchblade which he was able to illustrate and he was able to show his great ability in drawing curvy and voluptuous women. The character was very well received and made Turner a very famous man in the comic book world.

During his stint at Top Cow comics, he was able to create several storylines and concepts for the characters that he created. The characters of Soulfire, Ekos and Fathom did not gain as much popularity as Witchblade so he eventually left Top Cow comic books and formed his own studio, Aspen MLT Inc. Turner's decision to leave with the characters caused specific friction between Turner and Top Cow but it was later settled out of the courtroom and things evened out after the resolution of the dispute.

Michael Turner has been battling cancer and because of this, he had to stop illustrating for quite some time and he was out of the limelight for a few years. Now, because he was issued a clean bill of health, Turner is out and back illustrating comic books. He has again plunged into the comic book scene and was able to release his own works. He has also been able to do some short series as well as put up some wonderful covers for both Marvel and DC.

Turner's battle with cancer has not stopped him from giving them what they have always clamored for. Turner still has the ability to provide and illustrate crisp, detailed and beautiful art. He retains his style and his beautiful, crisp style which makes him one of the hottest comic book artists. Whether some people criticize him for not being that great of an artist or not, he still remains as a big ticket in the comic book industry.
