Frank Quietly Profile
Frank Quietly is a comic book artist who started out in the UK comics scene. His real name is Vincent Deighan and he ended up naming himself "Frank Quietly" because he made up a pseudonym for himself which played on the words "quite frankly".
He was born on January 18, 1968. Some of the characters that he was able to make were Blackheart, Missionary Man, Shimura and Judge Inspector Inaba.
His art is actually easily recognizable and is often controversial. Because of this, there are some people who hate his art while others who love it. Regardless of this fact, he has eventually helped so many comic books in its sales.
His style has become quite famous because of its very stylistic feature. It is quite easy to spot a Frank Quietly piece because he has immediately gained popularity as an artist. The first company Quietly first worked for was the company 2000 AD.
He also pioneered several projects such as the Judge Dredd Magazine and The greens. He eventually ended up working in DC Comics and he was able to land his first big project alongside writer Mark Millar in the comic book "The Authority".
He then left the project to work with one of his collaborators, Grant Morrison on "The New X-Men". This particular change brought about a lot of new ideas to the team and because of the costume changes as well as the appearances, this particular move rattled the fans quite a bit.
This, however, wasn't enough to make the fans abandon Quietly's work. Even though this controversial move was changed so many essential things and even though Quietly submitted in his work rather late, the comic book still sold extremely well.
He continued working on different projects while collaborating with Morrison for different projects such as the critically acclaimed series We3 as well as the latest project which was All-Star Superman. His rendition of the Man of Steel was very well-styled and had a distinct feel on its own.
One of his assets is his very distinct style that is reminiscent of Arthur Adams but is much neater and cleaner in comparison. Whoever Frank Quietly works with, those whom he collaborates with will be assured that he will continue to produce excellent and memorable artwork for any story. Whatever it is that your story needs, Frank Quietly will be able to pull it off for you.
