With news of divorcing celebrity couples on the news and magazine covers every few months, it's refreshing to hear about celebrity relationships that survived the murky swamps of Hollywood.

Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward can probably claim to have had the longest marriage in Hollywood history. Back when movies were still black and white and grainy, Paul Newman and Joann Woodward met while filming the movie The Long, Hot Summer. The couple got married in 1958, and stayed married until Newman's death in September 26, 2008 - a marriage that lasted for 50 years. The couple have three kids together.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel met while filming the movie Swing Shift back in 1984. Though the couple never actually tied the knot, they have been together for 25 years. Hawn and Russel have one child together. Hawn has two kids from a previous marriage, while Russel has one. When asked what keeps them going strong, Hawn replied "I like to work and Kurt likes to play."

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson first met on the set of Hank's sitcom Bosom Buddies. It wasn't until years later when they worked together again, this time for the movie Volunteers, that they really started to hit it off. The couple wed in 1988 and have two sons together.

David Bowie and Iman

Super model Iman came to the US in 1986 and became a fan of androgynous rock icon David Bowie. But the two would only meet in 1990 at a friend's dinner party. The couple got engaged a year later and got married in 1992. The couple welcomed their daughter Alexandria in 2000. The supermodel admitted that it was her husband's silliness that won her heart.

Sting and Trudie Styler

Rock superstar and actress/producer Trudie Styler lived together for ten years before tying the knot in 1992, not without a little pressure from their four kids. The couple has recently gotten much publicity as do-gooding eco-warriors. But what the couple really had everyone abuzz and blushing is their sex life. After admitting to having five-hour tantric sex sessions, no one looked at yoga the same way ever again.
