Let us start off with the human body, more specifically the human skeletal system. You know that our bodies are made up of a lot of bones? Do you know just how many? The adult human body is made up of a total of 206 bones from head to foot. The biggest of them is the femur which is the leg bone while the smallest is the stirrup bone or stapes which is located inside your ear. But did you know that we have a total of 300 bones as children? Some of these bones fuse together as we grow until we arrive at a total of 206 bones by the time we become adults.

Let's proceed to some interesting facts in the animal kingdom. Did you know that fleas can jump 130 times higher than their own height. You may not be that amazed because of their tiny size. But if you compare them in human terms, that jump is equal to a human standing six feet with the ability to jump over 780 ft. into the air. Now that is something that only Superman can do.

You've heard of lions as the king of the jungle and you might consider it as one of the most ferocious animals along with the tigers as well as sharks. But do you know what is considered to be the most dangerous animal in the planet in terms of how they can do serious damage to human lives? It is the common housefly. Houseflies has been known to cause the spread of many types of diseases at the cost of millions of lives all over the world. It is because of their habits of visiting animal waste that allows them to transmit more diseases than any other animal, even in comparison to mosquitoes.

Have you any idea how small is the smallest winged insect? Get this. The Tasmanian parasitic wasp is even smaller that the eye of a common housefly. Now that is small. Did you know that the ears of a cricket are located on the front legs, just below the knee. That's pretty interesting you say.
